Ingredients

  • ½ Cup White chocolate chips or white chocolate bar (chopped)
  • ½ Cup Milk (whole, skim, or plant-based)
  • 1 Cup Brewed coffee or espresso (cooled)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar (optional, depending on desired sweetness)
  • ½ tbsp Vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • White chocolate sauce or syrup (for drizzling)

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Microwave-safe bowl (for melting the white chocolate)
  • Glass for serving Spoon or straw for mixing

Method

  1. Melt the White ChocolateIn a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate) in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely melted. Be careful not to overheat it, as white chocolate can burn easily. Once melted, let it cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Frappe BaseIn a blender, combine the milk, ice, cooled brewed coffee (or espresso), melted white chocolate, sugar (if using), and vanilla extract. Blend on high speed until smooth and frothy, ensuring the ice is crushed and the mixture is well-combined.
  3. Serve the FrappePour the frappe into a tall glass, leaving some space at the top for the whipped cream.
  4. Top and GarnishGenerously top the frappe with whipped cream. Drizzle some white chocolate sauce or syrup over the whipped cream for an extra touch of sweetness and decoration.
  5. Enjoy!Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy this creamy, cool treat.

Notes

  • Adjusting Sweetness: The sweetness of white chocolate can vary, so feel free to add more or less sugar depending on how sweet you want your frappe. If you’re using a sweetened plant-based milk (like almond or oat milk), you may want to reduce or omit the added sugar.
  • Coffee Flavor: If you prefer a non-caffeinated version, you can skip the coffee and use just milk and ice for a milder, more dessert-like frappe.
  • White Chocolate Sauce: You can make your own white chocolate sauce by melting white chocolate with a little milk or cream, or use store-bought white chocolate syrup for convenience.
  • Vegan Version: Use a dairy-free white chocolate and a plant-based milk (like coconut, oat, or almond milk) for a vegan version of this frappe.
